Giclée Printing
Giclée prints are a way of accurately reproducing drawings, paintings and artwork.
Original art work is digitally scanned and high resolution images are generated by printing with high quality inks on archival watercolor papers. Giclée printing is indeed a fine art printing technique for artists wishing to share their work. It is a popular process that artists use to make their artwork available at affordable prices.
The printed image has all the tonalities and hues of the original painting and can be reproduced in a variety of sizes. The printing process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction. The archival inks and papers assure that the prints are light-fast and non water soluble.
While still living in Maryland I decided to add giclée prints to my portfolio. I sought out the best professionals in the field, and my research led me to Full Circle Fine Art in Baltimore, MD. The studio is owned by renowned panoramic photographer David Orbock and it is staffed by artists and professionals alike. For months we worked with manager Brian Miller to scan my body of work. We will always be grateful to Brian and everyone on staff. Although we have moved to Massachusetts, Full Circle Fine Art still makes giclée print for my southern clients.
Since moving to Massachusetts we have selected Valley Frameworks for their attention to detail and professional workmanship. They provide a full range of printing and framing services.
